As anyone who has lived in a Muslim country will testify, the delivery of the call to prayer varies greatly from mosque to mosque. No two azans are exactly the same, with each muezzin (prayer caller) having his own individual style and sound.

To demonstrate this variation, we've scoured the Web for samples of azans from all over the world. Some are long, some are short, some beautiful, some more abrasive, but all make fascinating listening.
